Weekly we receive many cds from artists wanting to get their music played on the air. We choose the music to play on the air by what we believe our audience wants. Some of the music on the playlist is from the music or artists that the audience requested previously, some selections are current popular music, other selections are what we think our audience should be exposed to or would like to hear. We would like to help you get our attention to the music that you have spent so many hours creating. HERE ARE SOME POINTERS TO GET OUR ATTENTION: The Playlists - Check our playlists. -- Make sure the music you send us is similar to the type of music our audience will want to hear. The First Contact - Send us an email to let us know that you are mailing us a promotional package. - Our email removes attachments so we do not get the music that is sent to us in the attachments. The Promo Pack: -- The promotional package should include: --- the promotional cd, --- highlight the songs/tracks which would match our selection, --- a well written and concise artist bio, --- information about future concerts/events, --- contact info (email address, phone number, web pages, mailing address). --- the concept of the cd (what is the message in/behind your music?) --- other information you want the audience to know. --- a freestyle jingle that mentions your name and the program's name. --- your availability for on air interviews. Your fans - Let your fans know that your music is going to be played on our programs. -- Get them to tune in to KRUA-88.1fm Anchorage (*LIVE STREAM) and request music.
